State of District Summary
The Kingsville ISD Education Foundation (KISDEF) has made significant progress towards its mission to provide resources for enriching teaching and learning, promoting community involvement and supporting students and staff of the Kingsville Independent School District (KISD). In August 2021, the KISDEF awarded $3,000 in instructional supplies vouchers to KISD staff to assist with the restructuring of grade levels and campuses. The foundation also distributed $3,275 in Innovative Teacher Grant funds to enhance the elementary Fine Arts program, science education at J.R. Perez Elementary, and the Foreign Language program at H.M. King Early College High. Additionally, KISDEF presented ten $1,000 scholarships to ten deserving students during H.M. King ECH School’s Achievement Night ceremony. The foundation also organized community events such as the State of the District luncheon and the homecoming tailgate, which provided opportunities for the community to gather and engage with KISD. With the continued support of the Kingsville community, Brahma Alumni, and KISD staff, the KISDEF looks forward to increasing awards and meeting its goals to support KISD’s journey from convocation to graduation.
